“Wiaer Fäschte iischi Fäschti”. A milestone is being celebrated — Restaurant Moosalp is celebrating its 60th birthday on July 14. It is hard to imagine such an anniversary without Z'Hansrüedi. Z'Hansrüesi is inextricably linked to our festivities.

Restaurant Moosalp, originally intended as a summer business, opened its doors for the first time on July 12, 1964, but the cornerstone of our restaurant was laid back in the summer of 1963. The groundbreaking ceremony marked the beginning of an intensive construction phase, during which the builders did their own work — from construction management to carpentry work. Electrical and plumbing installations were carried out by external companies, as was the painting work. Interestingly enough, electricity was available right from the start, thanks to new alpine stables. But a general water supply was almost a decade in coming.

The unforgettable opening night

The Moosalp restaurant was finally opened on July 12, 1964 with an unforgettable night that lasted until dawn. Although the planned music group “d'Walpini” from Grengiols did not appear for mysterious reasons, a tried and tested gramophone with manual operation did not lower the mood. The party lasted until the early hours of the morning.

When Restaurant Moosalp has something to celebrate, Z'Hansrüedi is usually not far away. In recent years, the well-known solo entertainer from Naters has already created the right atmosphere on six anniversaries. We are proud and grateful to have him back with us on July 14, 2024 and to celebrate our birthday with him.
